I picked this up because I’m looking for some decent “daily drinker” types of wine that I can buy in bulk and buy for an every day basis.
This wine seems to serve this purpose rather well! It’s not amazing, but for the price, pretty decent.
This is a Tuscan wine. I guess. I don’t really know. This winery seems make a lot of other Chianti’s and such. This is 50% Sangiovesse, 25% Cabernet, and 25% Merlot.
This tastes ripe, without being too fruity. I taste rasberry and an almost cranberry type of fruit flavor. A little burn too it, pretty thin and light, but without tasting too watered down. It’s got some tannins to it, but not too abundant. Just like the heat. It’s there, but not over abundant.
I’d be happy to drink this again for the price, I may buy a half case to keep on hand, unless I find a better wine at this price.
EDIT: I finished this bottle up on day 2, and was less impressed. It tasted thin and one dimensional, just a slightly hot, fruity wine. Nothing too compelling about it. Lowering the grade from B+ to B.
Grade: B
Price: $12
