This is the first of the Skater Series of Woodblock prints.
This was made late on a Sunday night after working in the office all weekend. I got home around 10pm, knowing I had to wake up early to go back to work again the next morning.
I put on some punk rock to unwind and mellow out for a few minutes before going to sleep, and instead got fired up, remembered I had a bunch of small woodblocks ready to use, and whipped out this print. By 1am I was done carving, and by 2am had a few trial prints made.

Each of the prints in this series is titled after a lyric or a title from one of the punk rock songs I listened to while making these prints. This one is named for a lyric from Johnny’s Got A Problem by D.I.:
“Johnny’s Got A Problem”, from the album Horse Bites, Dog Cries.
This print was made quickly, I was at a point where I had been in the office catching up on projects for the day job, and I wanted to make something. This was it. It also turned out to be the first in a series of 4.
